Episode 263: "Imprisonment?! Senbonzakura & Zabimaru"

This episode starts with Shinigami searching for a Sword Fiend, who hid inside a pot. After they vanished he thought it was free to come out again, but in that moment Zabimaru appeared. Without breaking a sweat both sent the Fiend on the ground. The Shinigami appeared again and praised their good work, which caused them to lose their concentration and therefore the Fiend had no problem burring them in a pile of sand. Just as it was ready to kill them off, Senbonzakura appeared and killed it. Naturally, Zabimaru was not pleased.

After that, the scene switches in an office in which Zabimaru are working on their reports. Unfortunately they don’t get much done, as they have to listen to everybody praising Senbonzakura. And the last straw was pulled as even Renji, of whom they got their fighting style – so they told him, also didn’t back them up but Senbonzakura. Pissed off, and without finishing their report, they left the office.

Coming to a stop in front of the Technological Research Bureau they notice that the door is locked. Something like that couldn’t stop them though. They tried to enter through a window, but because of an accident, in which Saru [the monkey] got stuck and Hebi [the snake] was almost killed.

Luckily he could climb up again and free his partner... but that only caused them both to land “gracefully” in front of Senbonzakura. That one did not hesitate in accusing them of housebreakers and scold them. Surprisingly those two do not react, but asked him if he might know where the people of 12th were. He said he didn’t know either and when they wanted to know how he managed to enter then he told them that he just blew up the door. Which caused them to bitch at him – he was no better than them.

He just brushes them off and continues on his way. Zabimaru decided that he is more immature than them and that the others just did not know his real personality. Then they followed him. After a small elevator ride they arrived on the floor on which 12th keeps the Sword Fiends in tanks... Hebi doesn’t take it too well...
Together they walk up to an empty tank where Saru picks up a remote and opens it. Hebi wonders how his partner knows how to use it and was informed that Saru learned by watching Renji. All the while Senbonzakura has been starring at the remote.

Without further hesitation the small snake boy throws in the broken Zanpakuto when suddenly typing was heard. Both turned around and saw Senbonzakura playing with the remote, which caused Saru to shout and startle him. That in turn caused the samurai spirit to let go of the remote and... blame Saru for that – not taking blame himself.

Saru was just about to tell him that he could have pressed the wrong button when suddenly red light and the alarm went off. Almost immediately glass was lowered around them – trapping them in 12th’s “Emergency Defence Barrier”. Of course that pissed of Saru and Hebi to no end; both instantly shouting in Senbonzakura’s face, who only chuckled and... released his shikai. Naturally – nothing happened. He was ready to do more damage when he was demanded to stop.

They explained him that this special glass was created to keep Sword Fiend’s from escaping, and therefore their attacks wouldn’t help. The samurai asked them what he should do then, only to receive the answer that he should sit down and wait. Which he did...for 10 seconds before he demanded to know where help was now and that he just couldn’t wait any longer. He completely lost it; even trying to attack his fellows who had to hold him back.
Then suddenly the door opened... revealing the hero of the day: Ashisogi Jizou!!!

Immediately the three tried to explain their situation and asked him to let them out... not knowing that they can’t be heard. The small butterfly could only see their mouths and limbs moving, but was utterly confused by what they meant. The three of course thought that the butterfly was simply stupid, so Senbonzakura used body language. Ashisogi disappeared, came back again – his stomach appearing fat and round, and then... then he presented them a banana [if that is not implying to Kuchiki Byakuya and the banana incident I don’t know what]. Senbonzakura swore to kill him.

As Zabimaru tried to hold the other back, who shouted revenge, we could see that Jizou brought them a lot of bananas. He was watching them confusedly when he suddenly noticed the remote laying on the floor. The others continued their fight while the small butterfly moved to the remote and picked it up. Immediately the three stopped and pressed themselves against the glass.

Senbonzakura calmed down and nodded. Telling the small spirit to press the button. Jizou moved his finger back and forth – always implying that he’d press it... but never doing so. That of course sent the samurai spirit in another fancy – losing his calm once more. Then Ashisogi pressed it... far too hard, which caused the remote to break. The other three went shouting and cursing while the small being only watched the, now completely broken, remote.

    Senbonzakura was beyond pissed.

Ashisogi Jizou was beyond scared and went hiding.

The samurai told the little guy to come back, while the other two tried to calm him down. But Senbonzakura didn’t want to hear anything of that; he got out his Zanpakuto and released his Bankai.
In the end he wrecked the whole room; leaving Jizou somewhere in the rumbles.
This only caused another set of alarms to go off and thick iron doors closing them in. Immediately they started to run, managing to come a long distance without any door being down far enough to trap them once more. Senbonzakura took over the lead, saying he would not run behind anybody save his master, even though he had no clue where they should run. Pissing his companions off once more. They managed to slide through the last door, which was close to the ground, and crashed into another room. This crash caused Senbonzakura’s mask to crackle. Before his face became visible though, he replaced the broken one with a new mask [I still can hear ByaRukifan screaming. (:].

Without further comments about that they decided to switch off the alarms, after they noticed they were in the control room. Saru pressed some keys and... webcams came up – showing different Shinigami in different positions. Senbonzakura complained about 12th seeing into everybody’s private life [I tell you – it was Mayuri] and pressed some buttons too – this only caused for things to go wrong with the people they have been watching. Immediately Saru tells the samurai to NOT touch any buttons again. Then the spirit explained that here 12th was in control of every technology and therefore they needed to supervise everything. Senbonzakura complained once more about this and started to press more buttons... again bad things happened to the people. Shocked the spirit started to press more and more buttons, which caused more and more things to... blow up... and Byakuya to find the secret Woman Association hideout in his own home...

Saru asked the samurai how he was going to fix THAT now, but he just informed the other that they were just as guilty as he was. Just as the two started bitching at each other the door opened. Hebi was shocked upon what he saw. And he had every right to... Jizou was NOT amused.

Saru and Hebi immediately backed off, unlike the other spirit who faced his opponent. He accepted the challenge, even though there was no challenge to begin with. He attacked the caterpillar with his Bankai and after holding against it for some time Jizou started with his. In the meantime Saru was more than just pissed off. Gripping the chain tighter she threw Hebi around and then they started with their own Bankai. The Bureau blew up... and only Zabimaru was visible.

Everybody appeared and immediately they blamed Zabimaru. They went to Senbonzakura and told them that it was actually his fault, but Senbonzakura said that it wasn’t. The two of them were punished. Both complained that once more nobody would see just how short the samurai’s temper was and that he was nothing like his master. But Shunsui informed them that this was probably the exact same as Byakuya was... on the inside.

After Zabimaru disappeared again to help out Senbonzakura Ukitake brought up the spying problem, when Shunsui told him to stop with that. 12th lost all their data. Mayuri was suffering enough.

[yup - that's what a man looks like when he is REALLY suffering (:]

    Shinigami Cup Golden

It was a tough battle. Many Shinigami failed, many lost hope, but then he appeared. He.... CHOUJIROU SASAKIBE! THE ENGLISH MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!! Slicing his opponent into little pieces! Of course the Shinigami beyond happy about that and praised this glorious man. Ishida was more than just proud of his creation... while Ichigo and Renji still didn’t really believe in it...

    Personal Opinion

The plot was still as lame as ever, but luckily this time the episode at least was hilarious. But even though I am a major Senbonzakura fangirl... I was disappointed by him in the end. As a true proud samurai he should have taken the blame on himself – instead of... “lying”/talking his way out of it.
I still feel sorry for Mayuri. Poor bastard [but fuck! Always knew the guy was using this to blackmail!] (:
And I am still freaked out shitless that Saru’s voice is so manly even though she carries this nice set of boobies...
Moment of win: Byakuya’s expression when he saw the hideout.
